EXPERTS:

David Dowling received the ASME Per Bruel Gold Medal for Noise Control and Acoustics “for the pioneering development of novel and robust techniques for remote focusing of acoustic waves, and remote localization and characterization of sound sources in complicated, noisy and imperfectly known environments.”

The medal recognizes eminent achievement and extraordinary merit in the field of noise control and acoustics, including useful applications of the principles of noise control and acoustics to the art and science of mechanical engineering.
