Biography
Dr. Anchal Sareen is an Assistant Professor in the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Dr. Sareen was previously a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Dept. of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Minnesota. She obtained her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University, Clayton, Australia, and Masters in Fluid Mechanics from École Polytechnique, Palaiseau, France. Dr. Sareen’s research group will focus on devising novel methods of renewable energy harvesting and energy-efficient propulsion systems. In addition, the group will focus on developing active and passive flow control strategies for enhanced hydrodynamic performance.
