Biography
Anika Szuszman is a dedicated professional with a passion for marine engineering. Born and raised in Ann Arbor, she developed an interest in the maritime industry and decided to pursue her education at the University of Michigan NAME, where she graduated in 2020.
After completing her studies, Anika joined General Dynamics NASSCO, where she embarked on a fulfilling career that spanned three years. During her time at NASSCO, she gained valuable experience working with vendors from around the world and honed her expertise in various aspects of shipbuilding and naval architecture.
Recently, Anika returned to her Alma Mater, NAME, to further contribute to the field she is passionate about. She has assumed the position of Associate Director of the Aaron Friedman Marine Hydrodynamic Laboratory (MHL). In her new role, Anika will utilize her vast experience and knowledge to support the MHL team’s research efforts, ensuring the smooth execution of experiments and simulations.
